Welcome to my website

A native of Colorado, Hillary Schefter has established herself as an up-and-coming harpist in the United States.  She can be found in the summers driving over mountain passes with harp in tow to play classical music with some great people with festivals and companies such as the Aspen Music Festival and School, National Repertory Orchestra, and the Colorado Music Festival as well as the Emerald City Opera.

She has recently performed in such orchestras as the Minnesota Orchestra, The Syracuse Symphony, New World Symphony as well as the Eastman Philharmonia and Wind Ensemble as well as other upstate college orchestras including the Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra, Cornell Wind Ensemble as well as the Skaneateles Festival.

An avid proponent of new music, she has recently performed premieres of several Eastman composers such as Steven Rice, Andrew Allen, Jennifer Bellor and Paul Coleman and YieEun Chun.  She regularly performs in new music ensembles at Eastman such as Musica Nova and Ossia.
